We begin by providing protective eyewear and cooling the treatment area to help ease discomfort. After a gentle countdown, your specialist performs a small PicoWay test spot to assess the immediate pigment and tissue response while you become familiar with the sensation. We may allow the test area to heal before proceeding with a wider treatment. When suitable, we carefully treat the agreed area, with cooling and breaks throughout. Your comfort and the condition of your skin guide each session.

Before you leave, we explain how to care for the treated area and what to expect as your lips heal. Temporary swelling, tenderness or pigment colour changes may occur. You’ll receive guidance on gentle cleansing, avoiding picking or friction, and when to resume lip products and makeup. If you have been prescribed cold sore medication, follow your healthcare provider’s instructions. We allow time for healing and pigment fading before reviewing your response and planning any further treatment.
